Big Wave Tech is a network of affiliated businesses and nonprofit organizations that have come together to show the positive power of AI in real communities around the world. We believe AI can change your life and change your community.
Our teams use AI every day in the United States, India, China, Uganda, Kenya, Thailand, and Indonesia. For our first public showcase of the Big Wave Tech campaign, we are focusing on our work in Kenya and Uganda, where community centers, women’s groups, schools, gyms, and small businesses are already using AI as a practical everyday tool.
We believe AI is a community superpower — not just for big tech companies, but for people in neighborhoods,
villages, and towns who want better health, better work, and better opportunities.

Big Wave Tech AI Challenge
You can also participate in Big Wave Tech by visiting our community centers, where local team members can help you use AI, improve your health, and get connected to local services.
Kampala, Uganda
In Kampala, we are partnering with COBAP Boxing Club to open a community center that combines fitness, youth programs, and AI education. You can come for boxing, health referrals, movement coaching, or help using AI for school, small business, and everyday life.
Nakuru, Kenya
In Nakuru, our community center is built around Global Fast Fit classes, women’s groups, and local youth programs. We provide free help with health and fitness, and we also show people how AI tools can support their goals — from exercise planning to small business ideas and school projects.
